    Turkish Offshore Racing Club is the leading Yacht Club in Turkey and thru Eastern Aegean Sea and has been successfully organizing since its establishment in 1971, professionally organized yacht races to an ever increasing and highly motivated community.

    The spectrum of participants ranges from senior executives of major corporations and businessmen and women to university students all united by the passion for excitement on the water. As such, this platform provides a unique opportunity for sponsors who have a message to communicate.

    RACING

    Turkish Offshore Racing Club is organizing offshore races as well as windward / leeward and inshore races throughout the season covering nearly all the year. Races start in March with Burger king / Fahir Çelikbaş Cup and end with the Winter Trophy in December.

    The longest and most prestigious offshore race on the eastern Aegean waters, organized by TORC without interruption since its establishment in 1971, the Navy Cup will welcome sailors this year for the 36th time; Marmara Cup and TORC Winter trophy for the 32nd and 22nd times, respectively.

    In 2007, Turkish Offshore Racing Club has scheduled 28 races in IRC 0 / Grand Prix, and 27 races in IRC1, 2, 3 and Freshman divisions; hereunder, 24 ea with 1 score points-as short inshore or windward / leeward - and 4 (5 in IRC 0) ea with 1.5 respectively 2 score points - as offshore races.

    The racing season is subdivided into Spring/ Summer / Fall and Winter races, with separate cumulative scoring and prizes in each division ,otherwise maintaining the established names and sponsors for each race or series.

    For windward / leeward races 5 routes shall be implemented interchangeably with 2 races a day format as the daylight permits. The racing season in Istanbul consists of 17 race days, 9 in or starting from Ataköy Marina and 8 in or starting from Kalamış / Caddebostan, on the other side of the Bosphorus.

    Also a 2 score point offshore race, TORC Challenge, has been introduced from Bodrum to Çeşme,this year open only for IRC0 / Grandprix and IRC1 divisions.

    For collecting points towards TORC Trophy, an Endorsed IRC certificate is be required in all divisions. In IRC1, 2, 3 and Freshman divisions, limitations apply on the number of Gr3 sailors based on ISAF Sailor Classification code.
